Made by camp people, for our own camp first.
The Staff Lodge was built by an overnight camp's staffing director who was tired of chasing flight numbers and forms every spring. Every feature started as a real problem in a real camp office, and it's being rolled out to that camp's own staff first. Now we're opening it up to a small group of camps who feel the same pain.

Things camp directors ask first.
When can our camp start?
We're opening The Staff Lodge to a small group of camps first. Register interest and you'll hear before anyone else, with time to get set up before your staff are hired.
How much does it cost?
Each plan is a one-time setup fee, then one yearly price. You choose the plan by the features you need, not by how many staff you hire. Trailhead is $500 to set up, then $1,500 a year. Basecamp is $1,000, then $2,000 a year. Summit is $2,000, then $3,500 a year. Very large camps, or groups running several camps, get a custom quote. These are Founding camp prices for the first 5 camps that join: $500 off setup, and the yearly price stays the same for as long as they're with us. After that, setup goes up $500. There are no per-staff fees and no app store costs. Your first yearly fee is paid before your app goes live; after that, it's billed 60 days before your staff arrive each year. You pay by card or US bank transfer (ACH) in your camp portal; we don’t accept checks.
How long does it take to get set up?
Once you’ve sent your camp details and paid the setup fee, we build your app in about three weeks (that includes a little extra time), plus about a week for each camp ahead of you in our build queue. Then most camps spend a week or two setting up and trying it before inviting staff, with a step-by-step Setup guide in your colors. With Guided setup (included in Summit, or $750 on the other plans) our team sets up the fundamentals with you. Your camp portal shows where you are, and Ranger can give you a date.
What if we get stuck?
Every plan comes with Ranger, a help assistant right in your Admin Portal and camp portal. Ask it how to set anything up, or have it walk you through setup one step at a time. If Ranger can’t help, it sends your question to our team and we email you back within 1–2 business days. Summit camps are answered first, within 1 business day, guaranteed.
Do staff have to download it from the App Store?
No. Staff open a link, create their account, and add The Staff Lodge to their home screen. It opens like any other app, sends notifications, and works on iPhone and Android. There's no app store listing and no store fees.
Who can sign up?
Only people on your hired staff list. You add your hires in the Admin Portal, and each person gets a welcome email with a sign-up link. The app is for staff 18 and older. Campers and parents don't use it.
Does the app come in Spanish?
Yes. Staff can switch the app to Spanish in Settings, and it starts in Spanish on phones already set to Spanish. What you write, like announcements and checklist items, shows the way you wrote it. The Admin Portal is in English.
Does it replace our registration or hiring software?
No. The Staff Lodge starts where hiring ends. Keep using your current system for applications and contracts, then add your hired staff here to get them ready for summer.
Will it work with no cell signal at camp?
Documents, the safety guide and the emergency contact card are saved on each phone, so they open without a signal. New announcements arrive as soon as the phone reconnects to Wi-Fi or cell service.
How is our staff information protected?
Your camp's data is kept separate from every other camp's. Admins sign in with a two-step code, downloads are logged, and staff can download their own information or ask for their account to be deleted.
Can we start small and move up later?
Yes. Start on Trailhead and move up to Basecamp or Summit when you're ready. Features turn on without your staff needing to do anything.
What happens at the end of the summer?
You mark who's coming back, download your lists, and clear the season. Returning staff keep their accounts, turned off until you're ready for next year.
